Possible hate crime, due to alleged statements of the shooter saying 'Heil Hitler'. A white male in his 70's.

A Rabbi and a nurse that work with my wife may have been there today. I guess no news is good news. We will see what tomorrow brings.

The CBS Evening News showed video of the shooter shouting 'Heil Hitler' from the back of the patrol car.

Obviously a case of domestic terrorism. Had he been shouting allah akbar then it would have just been workplace violence.

Frazier Glenn Cross is a white supremacist and KKK leader, Army veteran and ran a paramilitary camp. Two of the three victims shot were not Jewish.

By an odd coincidence, I was at the Dallas Jewish Community Center on Monday verifying some measurements. It did strike me as a bit of a soft target. Though they have onsite armed security, it's one off-duty cop and the building is the size of a small-to-medium shopping mall, plus the grounds. An active shooter would have a good 30-40 seconds even if the cop immediately recognized the sound and could narrow down the location right away, and took immediate, effective action upon arrival. As anybody who's done timed range drills knows, 30 seconds is forever. As anyone who's read the reports of Columbine, etc. knows, immediate, effective action isn't exactly a strong point for police response to active shooters.

A thousand "journalists" desperately googling "Frazier Glenn Cross tea party" heave a sigh of disappointment and prepare the memory hole.

I'd kinda like to see a link to where he's registered as a Democrat. Other sources I've seen have him running as a Democrat here, a Republican there, and an independent everywhere else.
