SPD arrests man for aggressive use of a golf club as a cane

You cannot see the actual aggressive use on the video, but a SPD officer believed that a 70 year old man using a golf club as a cane on his daily walk was in fact wielding a weapon.  It appears as if the subsequent arrest and criminal conviction was voided. 

This is of interest to me, now that I have bought a couple of canes to use when my broken hip is acting up.  I am interested that the news article made no mention of possible Americans with Disabilities Act issues, although I suspect that was the prime driver in voiding the criminal actions.

I'm glad the police returned it, this could have driven a wedge between them and the public.

Its obvious that the golf club was a symbol of cis-male dominance and aggression which was a microagression to her lgbtbbq existance.

^^^Actually, the interesting thing about that is another local paper reported on the police officer's racist posts on her FB page.  She apparently does not like black men.

Typical jack-booted thug attitude. Issue an illogical command and, when the victim is confused or asks "Why?", instead of engaging in a civilized conversation just keep repeating the order in an ever-louder tone of voice.

I see that a lot around here (not directed at me, mercifully). They teach it at the state police academy (which trains not only staties but also officers for many smaller municipalities that can't afford their own academies). It's that whole "You WILL respect my aw-thaw-ri-tee" thing.
