There should be a simpleton point and click mode. Once you get that far, you should be okay!  Cheesy

Digital cameras are great once you understand the basic controls.  Your next purchase should be a good photo-editing software.  I use Paint Shop Pro -- it's reasonably priced compared to Photo Shop.

Congrats on the new camera.  I am still trying to figure out one that I got for Christmas.  Like the others mentioned, there should be a "auto" mode for dummies.
Now, keep those nude Alaskan polar bear pictures out of the APS.  Oleg probably wouldn't like that.  Wink

Hey, what model is it?  I bought a Sony Dsc-v1 5.1 megapixel cybershot two years ago.  I'm really happy with it.

the easiest on ramp to digital imaging is to download the images via a card reader into Ivue media 2 software:

Media 2 is perfect for anyone who needs to manage their growing inventory of digital  photos, music and videos. Media allows you to import directly from a digital camera; generate web galleries;slide shows; movie presentations, contact sheets, high quality prints; or simply organize, locate, backup and burn media quickly and easily.
