The numbers didn't really change - what did change was media spin. I suspect that we're going to see a lot more about Obama Doing Bad Things in the next month or so...
The Democrats are determined to get themselves another McGovern... I suspect that Obama's going to keep his current crop of voters, while a sizable percentage of Hillary supporters will defect to McCain. I think that much of Obama's "momentum" came from the fact that they were in a several-candidate race, and he had a SOLID 15% or so just from the black vote.
The Democratic leadership and media have pushed for extremes. And they've gotten them. And it's going to cost them. When you have Hillary Clinton being viewed as the moderate.. wow...
Of course, looking at the results, Republicans still have folks voting for Huckabee, Ron Paul and Romney...
