I’m not saying I invented the turtleneck. But I was the first person to realize its potential as a tactical garment. The tactical turtleneck! The… tactleneck!

I will also be on the 2nd Peoria bus. See you there.

Yeah, bringing your kid is a good.  She might get bored and keep an eye on the weather.  I've marched in short sleeves one year and a snowmobile suit the next.

Not sure if I'm going yet.  Logistics with my son might be problematic.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

I checked out the live feed to today's fun and games at the state house.

My rep was in full rant.  I like Jim Sacia.

Just scheduled the day off, and bought the bus tickets.  [ar15]

I plan on bringing my daughter (5yrs old). Good idea? Bad idea?

Want to meet up down there?

I just got off the igold bus captain conference call.  All buses are full up.  A bunch of locations have 2 buses, that in prior years had one.

It sounds like there will be quite the crowd. Given that Gov. Quinn will be giving his budget speech that day, it's possible that the usual suspects will be around for us to give our regards to personally (instead of disappearing for the day the way they usually do).

Meet up?  Sure.  Not sure how.  Look for someone firmly in the old fat white guy demographic -- that would be me.   =D

Hopefully I won't have a problem getting to the bus.  They're talking lots of snow Tuesday.

Otis McDonald and Mary Shepard spoke at the convention center rally (pre-march). That was pretty cool.

My zipped pics at the link, I have learned that my phone takes blurry pics. Very disappointing. Still need to figure out the new phone.

We were not too far apart.  I hung out up at the top row of that bleacher, until I had a customer call me and I had to take it.

Bizzare stature on the south lawn of the state capitol.

Behold, the cartoon Everett McKinley Dirkson, with what are probably demons hugging his ankles.
