New HSA limits for 2020
« on: December 04, 2019, 08:00:57 AM »
I almost missed this...

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/last-christmas-paul-feig-critics-box-office-155204550.html

Essentially, HSA contribution limits are going up $50 for an individual and $100 for a family account, to $3550/$7100.

If you're older than 55, the catch up contribution amount of $1,000 remains the same as last year.

I wish that would go up way, way, more. Not only because of the state of health care insurance, but because my HSA is also my stealth tax-advantaged retirement account.  =D

"stealth tax-advantaged retirement account."

Oh, don't worry, when Bernie Warren is elected they'll get around to taxing the *expletive deleted*it out of your HSA once they get finished eliminating the electoral college.

I figure that will take... 5 or 6 days.

And week two will be my IRA. I hear they'll want to give me a break and not drain my TSP for at least a month.

I wish it were higher too just to cover the easy monthly installments I'm paying on 3 emergency room visits, 3 CT scans, 2 hospitalizations, 2 surgeries, and many recurring outpatient visits that my family incurred in 2019. I can't wait for this year to end.
