"Pimpstar" rims. $12-16K for the ability to display crappy MS Paint drawings on your rims. Dear God......

Why did I look at that?

Yes, you warned me.

I still want my brain cells back.  Oh, and by the way, it looks like it's going to run a few hundred to repair the brick wall where I banged my head.  You owe me for that too.

stay safe.

I wonder how many people who buy these get payday loans for them? Naw, probably just use the welfare check.....

I was curious when the technology would migrate to something like that.

We have an Olympia InfoGlobe that uses rotating LEDs to project Caller ID info, and decades ago I had an old desktop arcade game that also had a rotating LED display...

When I worked at Miller Brewing's HQ, they had something similar in the lobby, it was a 3 foot high cylindrical "fish tank" and it had 6 vertical bars of RGB LED's inside it. They'd spin up to some gawdawful RPM then they'd turn on. Persistence of vision turned it into a cylindrical video screen.

Tres cool.
I promise not to duck.

Me too.  I wonder what her name is?

Re:  the wheels
I'm sure they're illegal in Ohio.  I can't even put a flashing LED brake light on my motorcycle.

We have nanny-staters outlawing cell phones while barely-literate (computer or otherwise) boyz from the hood are frantically trying to reconfigure their wheels whilst in motion.

Since they are wireless, I wonder how difficult it would be to crack them and display something of our own choosing like, "I spent $16K on these wheels and $0 on my education," or "Home delivery crack dealer.  Call 972-44CRACK."

I might have figured it out on my own, but the brain cell loss I experienced watching the video was severe enough that I am no longer a threat to "Pimpstar."

The name and video are really bad, but the product is potentially pretty cool.

NRA logos all around?
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. NRA, GOA, SAF and AFA logos. At once. One on each wheel.

I've programmed my InfoGlobe to say, "Have a Rotten Day" at times, just to see if my wife catches it...

They are pretty cool, especially if you want a large, legible Caller ID that can be viewed across the room.

I even turned a wooden stand for mine.  Obviously, the camera shutter is faster than the human eye, but this says, "Tuesday, July 08":

Not exactly Pimpstar, but it's not as if that guy in the Escalade would have a chance with the schpoo in the convertible, anyway!   =D

Wow, what a cool product idea.  I bet it has a pretty strong profit margin, too.

Would make for an epic hack.

Install an auto-hacking system next to the GPS and cell jammer!

If they aren't illegal in Michigan yet, they will be. I live just outside of Detroit, so I am sure a few sets of these will pop up eventually.

Now that's just ridiculous. People would NEVER use their welfare check for wheels. The welfare check goes for the cell phones and big screen TV's. They'd pay for the rims out of their full time side-job money

What if I put the video bling on the wheels of a Lambo?

I don't know about that. Black men have a reputation for pleasing women in a certain way that mega-rich white men don't.

Why did I know this thread would take a turn down that alley?   =|

This is a family forum, kids.

That means we have readers of all ages online.

"Mommy, what do black men do to please women?"

etc, so forth...

Sometimes, I'm afraid we forget.
