I must admit that as my hip joints are aging, and I am starting to yelp every time I throw a leg over my motorcycle or bicycles, I wonder if this might be a viable replacement for my Suzuki DL650. I have looked at the Spyders made by the same company, but at their cost, discarded them from consideration, since I have my motorcycle essentially as a recreational toy. But this, at much less cost, may deserve a look.

Take more Ibuprofen, even a GI bleed is preferable to being seen on one of those things!!!

Or just move to a Jeep Wrangler or similar open vehicle.

Cam Ams aren't motorcycles. They're snowmobiles with wheels on them.
Friends don't let friends ride Can Ams, or any trike.
I was visiting Jocassee several years back and he took me up to Tail of the Dragon, and my run through was thoroughly ruined by trike riders.

Really sounds like you just need something with a little lower saddle height than a dual sport/adv bike (which are admittedly rather high).
The BMW 650's are about 2-3 inches lower than your V-strom, if you're still aiming for something more adv-ish with a conventional posture.
A Triumph Bonneville is about 4 inches lower, still conventional posture.
No need to go cruiser, or snowmobile.

I LOVE trikes! :old:

Bentley Packard V24?
Probably a Allison v12 with dual exhaust for each cylinder

Yeah, OK this is getting close, I guess:

I was beginning to think some of those pipes were just for show. =D
Triggered memory:
She's got a competition clutch with the four on the floor.
And she purrs like a kitten 'till the Lake Pipes roar.

That's an Allison. You can tell by the taper at the back of the cam cover.
Allisons had dual exhaust ports per cylinder, so it was pretty common in the heyday of the aero powered car to see individual pipes for each port, rather than the collectors the the aircraft had. (as seen on the P40)

Nice headrest arrangement.
