They wanted it. They get it.

I have no sympathy.

Chicago is a third-world country with false shinyness held up by filthy corruption. And just like in many third world countries, the residents adore their dictator.

Mane, yeah, but they live in Chicago so by the fact alone they are much better than you, just ask them. grin

The Mayor for Life was re-elected.  Shocking.

Only the USA can bring Daley down and Daley has him in his pocket so instead he chases guys named "Scooter" around. rolleyes

I always wonder when a guy like Daley gets elected if it is actual real live residents of the city in question that are electing him?

Aside from the dead ones that somehow manage to register votes for him, too, of course.

You think anything silly like an election would have kept him from his web of power?

Saddam Hussein was also always re-elected.

Maybe someday Daley will be found hiding in a hole.

I think you're thinking of Jimmy Hoffa here.

Hoffa has yet to be found.  But Saddam was found hiding in a hole.

As a former Chicagoan, I can testify that . . .

It doesn't matter who's running . . .

It doesn't even matter who's voting . . .

All that matters is who's counting the votes.

Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

As an Illinois resident I hereby voice my disgust at Daleys re-election. Lucky for me I live about as far away from Chicago as one can get without having a Kentucky address. Daley will be mayor till the day he dies, then his son will take over  angry . Hell just think of the modern dynasties in this country. If Hillary gets elected in 08 we will have had Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush, Bush, Clinton. Nearly a 1/4 of a century under control of the same two families. Perhaps term limits need to apply to bloodlines as well.

No, Chicago is much more corrupt.

And better run which makes it even worse.

New Orleans was third world compared to Chicago even before Katrina.

At least in NO you can see the "fruit" of the corrupt politicos.

In Chicago it is well hidden behind the facade of a world class city.

One can only hope the Feds find someone they can turn.
