Yes, I know full well what the words on the parchment say and what The Founders probably did in fact mean when they wrote "shall not be infringed" but that just aint what the folks in the black bathrobes say it means, and they have the power at the moment.

Actually, SCOTUS has only said "you have a right to own a gun....what that actually means will be determined later by the courts".......

....this is a good way to make later sooner......

This. The perfect example of a check and balance system.

No, it isn't, because it doesn't work. If we all agreed on what constitutes freedom, we wouldn't have these controversies in the first place.

Do you have any suggestions about how to change the status quo?

Not any easy, simple, and polite ones that would play well on prime time television, no.

We all support the concept of finding some cool state/county to have every darn LTC person to become law enforcement if they so choose.

We were supposed to get reciprocity outta that deal but it seems as if LE has forgotten that side of the bargain.

They should have stuck reciprocity in the latest budget dealio gov't shutdown keystone fiasco.

No, they said you have a right to keep and bear a firearm in functional (loaded and unlocked) condition for self-defense, and that that right is particularly acute in the home.

They also said that some traditional restrictions, on felon possession, concealed (and concealed only mind you) carry, carry in "sensitive places", and other such time, place, and manner restrictions may be Constitutional.

Don't buy into the utterly incorrect reading of the text of the ruling as written claimed by anti's and used by some of the Circuits.

What they actually said was far worse, IMO.
