Take the ISI Civics Literacy survey

Take the ISI Civics Literacy survey and compare your results with elected officials and general public

Here is the quiz
http://www.isi.org/quiz.aspx?q=FE5C3B47-9675-41E0-9CF3-072BB31E2692

And here are the results
http://www.americancivicliteracy.org/2008/additional_finding.html

What surprises me is how our elected officials appear to score lower than Joe and Martha Sixpack.

I scored 97%.

I got 32 of 33 questions. Perhaps I have not forgotten as much as I thought.

Agreed.

I will forward this to family and friends.

This showed up on my FB page recently.  I scored 31/33, and one of the two I missed I knew but somehow managed to select the wrong option anyway.  I really didn't think it was that difficult.

I also scored 31/33. The fact that college-educated respondants averaged only 55% is a sad commentary on our colleges and universities (although, to be honest, most of the answers should have been taught in high school civics and history classes).

I would be interested in seeing how TEA party types score given their professed allegiance to all things constitutional.

Just go back in look in the original thread regarding this test.  Most people here score in the high 20's and low 30's, mostly well over 85% on the test.  Not that APS'ers are TEA partiers, but most do tend to be more libertarian leaning.

I managed 32/33.  On the one I blew, I was unsure, dithered, and talked myself out of my first instinct, which was correct.  Grrrr!

As to elected pols underperforming, read the real job description:  Get elected, get re-elected.  There is nothing there about knowledge or competence.
Gee, I'd love to see your data!
