"Explosion" at Hoover Dam
« on: July 19, 2022, 05:34:01 PM »
https://www.the-sun.com/news/5813722/hoover-dam-explosion-terrifying-fireball-video/

Lake Mead is at critically low levels and prominent in the news right now, and it appears some of the downstream power generating/management hardware has caught fire.  Hoover Dam staff said a transformer caught fire.

Of course the nooz feels a need to label it an "terrifying explosion" of the dam.

I saw that after seeing a headline trying to paint a mental image the dam itself blew up.
Yeah, looked like a transformer blew, they do that. No big deal.

Back to watching Elon blow up rockets.

One headline I saw called it a "terrifying fireball."

Agreed - transformer blew. They do that. Fire was out before the fire department arrived. All in a day's work for power workers.

Thankfully it was one of the transformers that feeds California to augment their bazillion KWs of wind and solar power! :)

Buttigieg plugged his electric car in.
