You never did the "Go ask SSGt for the HMMWV keys" to a particularly stupid or annoying new kid?

No, but some wise guy in the unit that relieved us did send the new guy in to ask our OPS SGM if he knew where to find a PRC E-9.  SGM was in a good mood that day so he just looked at one of the NCOs and told him to straighten the kid out.

I can't imagine pulling any of those without the Staff NCO in question being really cool or highly respected.  Our motor t SSgt was a good ol' boy from Tn that enjoyed practical jokes.
