+1 for Mystery Men.  Great movie.

I don't really care.  I would think Palin has other venues to visit that don't need to be pushed into bringing her on.

According to Shepard Smith, Studio B With Shepard Smith, FNC, 12:00PM PDT, Oprah "would love to have Sarah Palin on her show AFTER the election."

Well, I guess the ratings would be better with the VP-elect as a guest  grin

Like "To learn teachings, you must be taught how to learn", that kind of nonsense. And she is absolutely "Wow, that's soooooooo deep" about that sort of thing.

Oh, crap! Reminds me of those idiotic smoky poetry bars in the 60s. rolleyes

Personally, I couldn't care less if she goes on that bimbo's liberal love fest. I really don't want her polluted by anybody affiliated with that show.
On Sarah Palin.....The screeching moonbats, whose daily lives are a swamp of discontent, fault finding, anger, angst and every other dark emotion embraced by the left, can't stand to see someone who is normal and enjoying life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.....grampster

Oprah's appeal, like Obama's, was predicated on being "post-racial."

Both are phonies.

Most of Oprah's audience is white women.  I don't think this is really going to sell very well.  What Oprah has to sell is personality, nothing more; her business is rife with once-rich and -powerful has-beens.

I think this would be a very easy lawsuit to win for RNC and Palin becasue of the Fairness Doctrine.

No.  God, no.  The last thing I want anyone anywhere to do is start enforcing the Fairness Doctrine.  Oprah is not a journalist, she runs a talk show.  She can have on who she likes, and can shun who she doesn't like. Big deal.

The way I see it all Oprah does on her show is try to convince anyone watching that she is a living god and that everyone should do what she says without question. Since Obama came into the picture she is doing anything she can to promote him solely because he is black.

The market will have its vengeance.  No need to get huffy or write letters.  Oprah has made a series decision based on her understanding of her market.  If her market is changing and she is not adapting, she will suffer the consequences.  I see no need for Palin to help Oprah's ratings.

The more I think about it, the more I think the best thing for Palin would be to publicly decline a request from Oprah if it were forthcoming.

That's what I don't get about some people. Solely because somebody is black or a woman should'nt mean they get your support. Leaders and others should be chosen for their merits, not their similarity to the supporter. If a Sicilian ran for president I would think it was really cool. That does'nt mean I would immediatly support them. People need to realise that a leader is important because of their actions. They should stop voting based on trivalities and superficialities.

The part I put in quotes is from Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have A Dream" Speech.

Yup. Part of one's character consists of what one stands for. That, I think, is one of the most important parts of a politician's character.
