Ron Paul says USA is over with
« on: November 08, 2012, 06:39:07 PM »

Too much debt, too many moochers, too many that are too helplessly inured to the system.

Quote from: Ron Paul... or Morpheus.  One of the two.
You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.
"But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist."
--Lysander Spooner

Pretty much....
Impressed yet befogged, they grasped at his vivid leading phrases, seeing only their surface meaning, and missing the deeper current of his thought.

That's been pretty much my opinion for quite a while. The only question is how soon and how deep a hole we end up in.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Only question now is it a whimper or a bang.

You don't say...?

Yeah, it's at the stage where all that's left to do is laugh it up and enjoy the show.  =D   [barf]

The US as I once understood it petty much went POOF! when private financial entities' rotten business dealings were bailed out by unwilling tax payers. For the Greater Good!  ;/ Can't get more socialist than that.

THIS Rome may be gone, but the idea of Rome will live on.

Many historians argue that Rome lasted several centuries after Rome fell. Soooo, yes, yes it did.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Many historians argue that Rome lasted several centuries after Rome fell. Soooo, yes, yes it did.

And during those centuries the inhabitants proceeded to tear down the great architecture and the paved roads of Rome for the stones to build squalid hovels next to mud filled paths to live in. From aqua ducts, coliseums and great temples and civic buildings made of gleaming marble to a Johannesburg shanty slum. An stark lesson.

Sort of like Detroit. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michigan_Building was a nice looking theater that is now used to park cars.

Err guys? Have any of you viewed Ron Paul's speech that WashTimes is talking about? He's not said America is doomed.
