You should play cards with me.  I had a repetative dream the other night in which Michigan State beat Michigan 21-20.  It kept repeating itself after I had woke up several time, went back to sleep and had other dreams that night.  That game, with that score, was in each and every one of them.
An omen you say?  Michigan won by three.

It was a weird night.

I was close to $20 ahead, then one of my friends, who was having a really bad night, fondled my chips. Without even thinking about it I said "Oh great, the cooler just messed with my chips."

That was it. I didn't win another hand the entire evening. I had some KILLER hands, but someone always had a slightly better hand.

How many times have you pulled a straight on a one card draw, only to lose? That's how my night went after Mr. Cooler played with my chips.

I ended up $1.10 ahead.

$0.70 behind myself, we play a game called "65" ever hear of it? Well The second game I was WAY in the lead and in just the last two hands my lead evaporated and that was that. I didn't catch many breaks at all. I left at 11, the wife tells me they played setback after that till 1 a.m. shocked

I like cards, but not THAT much...

Ohhhh....let's breathe some life back into this thread.

I've been playing Texas Hold Em' for a few years now and just got back from a small game tonight with a bunch of DIE HARD players. It's always nice to walk away with $35 extra in your pocket; especially from these guys.

Unfortunately, the full beer I spilled on myself really freaking stinks now though.....

Wow. I was surprised to see this one back.

I didn't mention that last month I played cards at another friend's house.

I got HAMMERED.

I ended up down almost $30.

It was not a good night.

$0.30 up last Saturday night. The pressure was unbelievable but I DID manage to pull a win! Cheesy

Just because we only ante $0.65 doesn't mean you can't ante $65 or $650 OR $6,500... That would add a little "excitement" to the game

Thats why the group I game with plays Magic:The Gathering rather than poker.  Better to spend the $30 in good beer or a nice bottle of single malt for game night than loose it at cards. Cheesy

That's usually the order things go in Mike.  I just hope when you play "poker," you don't contract anything. Wink
