Cue a dozen folks saying "stuff still broken"   =D

 ;)

Things are improving. Login works properly for me.  I can see most members' avatars.

The Green Bar of Loading is still around, but that's only a minor annoyance.

I still have no idea what this green bar of loading thing is. I've never seen that.

Thanks for all the (pro bono) work Rev!

Keep doing whatever you're doing, Rev.  Things are getting better.
I've been fighting intermittent PLC programming and Profibus faults for the last three weeks on some gear at work.  I have an idea what you're going through.

You guys are still buyin' this? Come on. Rev breaks the APS just so he can rush in and get all the glory when he "fixes" it. It's Münchhausen by proxy server.

My smartassyness aside, running Firefox,  I don't see it either on my Win7 machine or my travel laptop with Win10. I've never quote posted in my other browsers, but have on my phone with chrome, and have no problems there either.

It might depend on how you quote. When I'm reading through the thread, and hit the quote button on one of the posts, I've never had a problem. When I hit the reply button, and then scroll down and hit the "Insert quote" button on one of the posts, I've been getting the dreaded Green Bar of Doom more often than not (since whenever this started months and months ago).

For me, I can just pic a post and click "Quote" and I get the GBoN. Strange. Does the same for me on IE 11 and Edge as well, and those are new, clean versions that have never been to the site!

I needed a mod to change my signature because the concept of "family friendly" eludes me.
Just noticed that a mod changed my signature. How long ago was that?

I will typically (like right now) middle-click the quote button to open a reply in a new tab.

No problem at this point.

Yes, but what happens when you LEFT click it the way most normally would do?

Rev,

Thank you for your work on this. If I can be of any help let me know.

My 'work' is solely yelling at support. "OY. I DIDN'T CHANGE NOTTIN. YOUR PHP IS BORKED. FIX IT."

Legit, I have only FTP and indirect sql access. As someone who is used to having root, this is mixed. On one hand, I don't have to do any real work. On the other hand, I can't do real work.

If I left click, I get a pop up with a bunch of options.  I select "open link in new tab", and continue on as I'm doing right now.

Someone's got to do the yelling.  Frustrating not having the tools to do it right, though.

The PHP stuff aside, I think the spam header entries are corruption of the forum code as opposed to something within PHP or Apache.  At least, they are not present if you hit the forum PHP files incorrectly.  For instance:
http://armedpolitesociety.com/Sources/Karma.php

If you go there it (correctly) dies on line 25 because the PHP file has been called outside of the forum structure, but when it outputs the error message it doesn't show any of the header entries.

Of course, if the site remains unsecured against the intrusion then fixing it doesn't really help long term.

Do they simply NOT allow the site IT admin(s) Forum admin console access? If not, why don't we move to a site that does?

Hey, my avatar has returned.  I tried uploading it directly last week and it didn't appear to work.  Now it is suddenly there.  At least, I can see it.
