Wild Alaska
« on: May 11, 2024, 12:06:00 PM »
Anyone know whatever happened to Wild Alaska?  He was here and at TFL back in the day.  He's the guy who gave us the word/descriptive, SWMBO.

I remember him too.  Not seeing Wildalaska or "Wild Alaska" on either TFL or THR.  User name change?

He was with Wild West Guns, which is still around.  But, gun stores change hands, so it may not be him.

I have a half recollection that he passed away some years back.  Could certainly be wrong.

I haven't seen him on the forums in forever. I watched his TV show, which, shoot - I guess has been a good ten years since it has been on.

Last activity in TFL was in 2011 https://thefiringline.com/forums/member.php?u=17974.

A post from 2012 notes that he was at that time no longer a member.  https://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=489283&highlight=wildalaska

And apparently he got banned early on from THR  https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/wildalaska.137678/.

And here's us discussing what happened to him, in2013: https://armedpolitesociety.com/index.php?topic=37787.msg763083#msg763083

And then there's this: https://thecinemaholic.com/wild-west-alaska-cast/

Why does it not surprise me that he's doing the "old guy in Thailand" thing?

Soi Cowboy, Pat Pong, down the road to Pattaya Beach, what is there to dislike? And those are just the "clean" places, the underbelly of Bangkok is very nasty indeed! If I were single and living the good life Thailand would be near the top of places I would live.

My wife’s dad has a stepfather who is doing the Philippine version of that. *expletive deleted*ing pedophile creep, he’s a real piece of work all around. Good news is we will never have to see him or deal with him.

When the Thai tsunami happened, they announced in the company cafeteria that some of our employees were on patpong street... I sprayed soda... And a few people just didn't get it...

An old friend of mine - he's in his sixties married a Philippine woman in her 40's - she was a single mom with a few kids .
He is really happy and always sharing pictures of his happy family .

I sometimes think about going over there, especially because the P.I is Catholic and I have gotten fond of old traditions .
I find it hard to imagine living anywhere I can't carry tho.

The guy I’m talking about was about 70 when he married an 18 year old (she was possibly younger) and he gave off enough of a chomo vibe that my wife’s dad wouldn’t allow him to be around his kids alone. He didn’t wait before his orign wife was cool in the ground before hopping a plane to Manila either.

May be playing devil's advocate here but assuming he knows and she knows what they're getting into he's getting what he's wants and there's a chance she's getting what she wants as in money and a life of leisure especially after he kicks the bucket in 4 or so years. 4 years work here for that beats the prospect of her whoring herself for 10 years and then getting thrown out with the trash burnt out and with a dozen STDs over there.

Still a bit creepy though
