Suspects are in custody in produce shooting

The Associated Press
BAGLEY, Minn. Two men are in custody this afternoon after a shooting at a produce stand that left a man and a woman injured.

Clearwater County Attorney Kip Fontaine says authorities caught the men around 2 p.m. today.

A man and a woman are in the hospital. There's no word on their conditions.

Clearwater County jail administrator Meta Kvam (may-tuh quam) says the suspects fled on foot, and officers from several jurisdictions were looking for them.

The shooting happened at a produce stand east of Bagley on Highway 2.

This occured in Northern Minnesota, 8-10 miles from my house.  I know the owner/operator of this shop, real nice guy.  The word is that it was him and his wife that were shot, him in the arm, her in the leg.  They also sell produce (vegetables) that they grow, it's basically a roadside stand.  He carries a pistol on his hip so I only hope he shot them too.  I hope to see him back soon.

OK, I'm confused...

The shooting happened at a produce stand?

NOT at the guy's gun shop?

Sho how is it a gunshop shooting?

The building is about 15x20.  They have both produce and guns.  Mostly guns though.

Hunting rifles, old military rifles (M14, M1 Garand, etc.), some pistolas, shotguns of all sorts, ammo, clips, etc.

Old thread deserves humor.

"May I interest you in a lettuce and a Lorcin?"

No.

"Carrot and a Kel-tec?"

No.

"Glock and a Guava?"

I'm so contrarian that I didn't respond to the thread.

I never updated this I guess.

He was back running the place the next day from what I heard.  His wife is okay.

They caught the 2 scumbags behind the store hiding in the woods.  2 older men, one was 52, the other was right up there.

The victim is a WWII Marine vet.

"Could you describe to us what happened sir?"

"Well, I said to him, "Yes, we have no bananas and the next thing I knew he pulled his gun and started shooting."

Sorry I don't mean to make light of the situation I just couldn't resist this bit of tomfoolery. I'm very glad they are OK. And equally as glad that they got the guys. I hope they go away till they're damn near dead.

He didn't try to slip a bag of zucchinis into their car when their backs were turned, did he?  That's a shooting offense in most parts of the country.
