I'd especially like to see the one youtube video where someone put on clown makeup and had a meltdown over a cartoon character being used by Clinton or Obama supporters.

That's pretty thin to claim "and probably more." Even that story doesn't say he was beaten for his shirt. The victim claims he was, but the police did not confirm it.

To claim "and probably more", it would be good to have one confirmed, as we have multiple examples, with video evidence, of people being attacked for their hats, specifically.

Yes, people tend to dislike and try to discredit their political opponents, often using really tenuous "proof" to justify their anger.  Conservatives had plenty of their own silly anti-Obama stuff (calling him Muslim, the birther thing, etc) but comparing the conservative reaction to Obama or Bill Clinton, or even the leftist reaction to George W to what is going on with Trump is not even remotely honest.

I'd give that a "maybe" at best.  Since there is no follow-up, that's weak, weak sauce.

And Obama riots were not disaffected rural and suburban right-wing and conservative voters trashing their cities, but mostly Obama voters doing the burning and looting.
