Yep yep yep yep yep yep yep... Not Mars!

Earth?

Yep yep yep yep yep yep yep... Ohhhh.... Earth person?

Earth person. Yep yep yep yep yep yep... Greetings! Hello!

It was touch and go for awhile, trying to come up with something that would top last year. Mrs. Dual is the idea gal, I'm all "technical production".

I promise not to duck.

Finally, a use for Snuggies, with which I approve.

Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

Awesome!

As for my household, I believe Tinkerbell was mentioned.  I'm bummed as the character costume, but hey, can't win 'em all.  Last year I sewed a decent knockoff of one of the Disney princesses, I forget which. The pink one.

The toddler, too young to be princess-obsessed, will be in the prairie dress, bonnet, and pinafore I made for her sister's first Hallloween.

Well done, AJ....my wife loved them when she saw the FB pics....

We'll have Mario and Princess Peach...pictures to come later.  I tried to get Wifey McMoneybags to dress up in something trashy, with fishnets and high heels, but failed.

In most of the world, I would be considered to be "in costume" every day

I just tossed on my suit, duster, furry hat with red star, slung an AK, and brought a bottle of vodka.   I went as "Crazy friggin Russian"

My son is a dinosaur (from target his legs are the Dino legs and it's torso sticks out infront of him..) and it's really the sound effects he walks around roaring in it.  He will be wearing a caveman esque shirt and carrying a monkey pail. So pics to come.

The one problem with this weekend is you have to think twice about what everyone's wearing before you say something. Be very sure it's a costume, and not just someone who's a "fashion victim".

I almost said something to one woman in line at the local supermarket's liqour check-out when picking up a gift-bottle of wine for our hosts on our way to the friend's Halloween party last evening, then I realized it wasn't a costume.  :-X
I promise not to duck.

Also make sure you think twice about who the person might be. A few years ago my wife and I were in the bar where her uncle hangs out, and there was a woman with high heels, stockings, garter belt, black panties and leather jacket. She was supposed to look like Cher from that tour many years back. She sure had the legs for the costume, the face, and seemingly the body, too.

Sadly, "she" was a transvestite. (My wife's uncle is gay, and his hangout is a gay bar).

I wonder how many straight guys fall for that? ;)

The fact that "she" was dressed as Cher should have been your first clue.

True.....female Cher impersonators are exceedingly rare.....

I'm aware that Cher, like Bette Midler, realy appeals to gays. I imagine the reason there aren't too many female Cher impersonators is that there aren't too many people besides gays who actually like Cher's singing. ;)

AJ, I'm curious. What does the woman on our right in the photo look like without all that makeup?

Amelia went as "Paul Stanley" (Starchild) last year.

Here she is as of a month ago. (apologies for my wife's watermark, not trying to plug her services. Only a few of us are local to the MKE metro anyway...)

I promise not to duck.
