He was 76. RIP
-
Amazing he lived that long given his ALS. He was a heck of a mind for science, even if he got caught up in globular woerming. Now, I guess, he'll join Christopher Hitchens in learning if they were right about their atheism.
-
RIP, Mr. Hawking. Thank you for your insights and your contributions.
-
Dang.
-
Not to make light of his passing, but 76 years is a pretty good run for someone with ALS.
-
He passed on Albert Einstein's birthday. Also Pi day.
-
RIP, Good Sir, and thank you for your everlasting contributions to humanity.

RIP...the world has lost a great mind.
-
RIP. As great as his mind was, I give him more props for adjusting to, and living as long as he did, with his physical condition. He was a better man than I (think I would be) in that regard.
I remember that he visited UCSB once when I was there, and I could only grin because he had an entourage of hotties as his escorts.

I always enjoyed The Big Bang Theory when they featured Mr. Hawking. He sure was a good sport to do that series.

Do you think maybe he didn’t get caught up but actually applied science rather than politics on that whole warming thing?

RIP.

Obviously not, since the science shows the Earth isn't warming as like the "scientists" claim it is.
-
Guys, lets keep the RIP topic non-political. Thanks.
-
He will be missed. RIP
-
The world is truly diminished.
:'( :'(

Brilliant mathematician and theoretician, but in later years I wonder how much his condition affected his mind and outlook.
-
Despite all his appearances, his acting never got any better. He always sounded so robotic.

It's funny actually. When he first got his synth, only American accents were available. He didn't like that, but by the time they had British voices available, it was his and he didn't want to change.
-
I always enjoyed the NOAA weather broadcasts when he did them.

You’re better placed to judge that than Stephen hawking?

<Re-checks title of the thread>
Yes, I'm more than certain I'm better placed to judge than Stephen Hawking.

And we are done. It is truly sad when we cannot express our condolences with out people drifting the thread into personal attacks.
