A Fox News story on the supply & demand for military collectibles. It took me a bit to realize something was a little off about the lead photo. Specifically, the attribution. Eagle-eyed gamers will spot the error in short order.

Damn it, I was just coming in to say that it's an image from a game, NOT a picture of an actual tank.

Ah, thanks. I thought maybe it was what looked like to this non-mil participant, reactive armor pasted around it. A while ago I even had to ask what that bulge in the middle of tank cannon barrels was. Answer was, of course, a fume evacuator. Huh. That was news to me, too.
Muy danke.

In an attempt to be helpful I emailed Fox News with the error, Cc'ing both the Curator and Director of Marketing at the Tank Museum. The TM's Curator replied a few short minutes later to let me know he's seen the submission. I hesitate to copy it into an open forum but I can say his response was... spirited.

"This story is just so full of inaccuracies and complete tosh its hard to know where to begin trying to correct it – but in a way I have answered the issue – so much fantasy it’s not worth trying to correct it all…."
