Not sure, but I think I may have met him when I worked at NRA.

Even in the early 1990s the ideological battle between the hardliners embodied by the Cincinnati crew and the "this is the National RIFLE Association, why are we worried about handguns?" and the clowns how kept trying to totally defund legislative activities in favor of putting it all into marksmanship were still being fought.
