Pretty much, since a true thesaurus is basically extinct. Browse the Reference section at a Barnes & Noble and you'll find shelves full of dictionaries of synonyms masquerading as thesauri (most seem to call themselves "Roget's Thesaurus," even), but you'll maybe only find one true thesaurus in the bunch -- and that's only if you're very lucky.
