This is my shocked face. =|

I guess that has been rumored.
Should we start betting on who the replacement will be? I have a feeling this has been planned and Trump will have a replacement soon.
-
About time.
-
well I guess I can hope for someone a little less enthusiastic about asset forfeiture & locking up pot smokers.
-
Good riddance.
-

How about someone who'll be an honest broker on the various witch hunt investigations?
-
Trey Gowdy

That.

I don't think he'll be missed.
Except maybe by Robert Mueller ...
-
Trey Gowdy
One can only dream.

Screw it, this is great. I identify as having a personal dislike of trump while voting for him. Cancelling the subscription on the dislike, he's a political genius. He turned inside of the news cycle on a day that is supposed to celebrate the blue wave. Now they're screaming about constitutional crisis, muh Mueller probe, recusal and such.
Now, when their respiration rate returns to normal somebody tell them who confirms the replacement. :D
Hey, there is enough of a majority in the Senate, Trump can afford to take a chance. Nominate Cruz, watch millions more get wasted on a special election.

What special election? If a senator leaves office mid-term, doesn't the governor of the state get to appoint a replacement to serve out the remainder of the term? So the new Congress gets sworn in on January x. Nominate Cruz, he resigns his Senate seat on January (x+1), then the new Republican governor of Texas names a new Republican senator from the Lone Star State.
Nope -- I'm wrong (again): https://www.usconstitution.net/xconst_Am17.html
Better to leave Cruz in the Senate for now, and name somebody like Trey Gowdy as AG.
-
Trey Gowdy
He does put on a good show in his televised hearings but not one damn thing of consequence has ever come from any of it.
Bread and circuses.
-
an honest broker
I think that would be preferable to an Eric Holder "Wing Man" type AG. Which do you think Trump would like?
-
Trying to figure out what makes the biggest head explosion. Nominate someone named Trump? Is Dick Cheney still healthy?
-
Leave Cruz in the Senate. There are some really good conservatives that could be a great AG. How about Rush Limbaugh,  I used to think Gowdy, but it seems he's just a bloviator.

Ann Coulter :D

Ann Coulter :D
YESSSSSSS!!!!
And she's an attorney, so she's qualified. But I don't think she's take it if offered.

What makes me laugh in all of this is the responses to Sessions. There were protests by the left when Sessions was nominated. Now they are planning protests in response to his removal (fired, resigned, excommunicated, whatever you want to call it.) Seems to show that they will protest Trump no matter what he does.

Bread and circuses.
The only thing congress(critters) can do is investigate, write laws, and control the purse strings. Any judicial actions have to come from....wait for it.....The AG and the Justice Department.

Of course. But has anyone ever even been referred to DOJ for investigation?

Again, that's up to the AG.
