Wow, Paramount finally got a CG house that doesn't suck?

Instead of their laughable videogame-like graphics of recent years, this actually has some dimension and detail to it.

From their new trailer for a movie.



The trailer's up as Quicktime on their site, nice cinematography. Actually looks like a ship being built by welders with sweat and toolboxes and worklights and cables and humanized mess.

They must have fired their sucky CG houses and gotten a decent one. WETA, maybe? No idea.

I've been thinking about having custom case skins made up for them, but like the black monolith effect for now.

I dont know, man.  I think the temptation might be too great for Paramount not to re-use the old bridge set from the original series.  I was wandering around the Paramount back-lot circa 2005 and saw a big chunk of that very bridge outside the fiberglass craft shop.
