I've met a few of those types, but none quite so bad.
I had one in my cab, I mentioned I was into gun rights and he was all like "had enough of that stuff in the special forces" when I asked him if they "let him keep his DD214"? he replied "NO"  ;/ ;/

Also, Androsky served in the the AF from 1999-2006, in the 41st Airlift Squadron and was discharged as an E-4.

med/psych discharge?

Apparently the discharge was due to drug use, but you have to wonder if the guy does not have a rich psychiatric history.

Psych discharge? Can be anything..

Heh... I'd never even get into an armed force... and I'm not short of fries either..  =D  I got a draft extemption due to rude good health(resting pulse 50, doctors scratched their heads)... serious insubordination issues (told them the army's too amateur and too alcoholic for my taste)  ;) Not true anymore, my soldier-friend tells me they're quite professional, and the dead-wood has been purged mostly or removed to remote offices.

These days, I'd get extempted on the basis of my severly elevated aggressivity levels .. I was told by several psychiatrists I'm too aggressive to own weapons, which means the army wouldn't take me either probably. (if I shouldn't own pistols, would anyone sane make me operate high powered military weapons? )

Fortunately my M.D. thought I'm a nice and well mannered young man and didn't see the need to send me for psych evaluation.. thinking happy thoughts related to MP heads on spikes and drinking a beer beforehand worked like a charm.

Well, don't worry about being unfit for service.  You can always just get the medals. :P

I, too, have an unusually low pulse rate.  The "doc" for my CDL physical was slightly confused and rechecked his math :D

One of Jen's nieces took up with a fellow in his thirties (she was 18). My theory was that her mother was just happy that she'd quit trying to slit her wrists after she discovered the whole concept of getting laid...

Anywho, back to the whole trailer-trash mess of fun... I meet the fellow. He informs me that he was a Recon Marine Scout Sniper (Okay, could happen...), that he had a purple heart, and a steel plate in his head from when he was shot when an IED blew up the truck he was riding in (quite possible - he did have a lot of shrapnel scars on his face, kind of like those I'd seen on a meth freak when his cooker exploded, but I'm getting ahead of myself here...), and that he'd been a Master Sergeant First Class (and now I'm definitely hearing bells...), and when he'd gotten out, they'd let him keep his Barrett .50 (and now the big brass ones are ringing...), which was able to work in three-shot burst mode (bells now so loud my head's about to 'splode), along with is .50 Desert Eagle (that "ker-flooge" noise was my brain and the ceiling...), which was (wait for it...) also able to run in three-shot burst mode. And they were all kept at the local NG armory Just In Case.

So, he's got a fairly unique name - A little googlage got bupkis, so I called friends of friends, got the Stolen Valor folks, and they hustled a request, got his military records - all 20-so pages of 'em... Seems that he enlisted in a December, and was separated in January... I think he did maybe 20 days... Has to be a record.

I got chewed out by Jen's family for outing him, because... well, I have to tell you, I'm not sure, but nobody was happy. The 18 year old niece is still (as far as I know...) engaged happily in boinkage.
