Price is FOB.  Throw in a few rolls of duct tape, and let them worry about it after their check clears.

The depth of your utter lack of engineering knowledge is only exceeded by it's breadth.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

The depth of your utter lack of engineering knowledge is only exceeded by it's breadth.

Marketing trumps engineering when it comes to turning a profit.

On the airplane - I think I remember that one!

If it's the one I remember, they did fix it.  Cost something like $20M.  It made it onto a 'big repairs' TV show where they also show things like replacing the azipods on cruise liners.

It was nearly $1M just to ship a replacement pressure cap.  Dedicated repair team consisting of dozens of engineers for a month.

For about the last ten years of his career, my Dad was ad-hoc assigned as one of the engineers to a Boeing AOG team: Aircraft on Ground.  Their job was to go where ever and perform field repairs, recovery or modifications to crashed or unserviceable aircraft.  It is considered a pretty prestigious gig at Boeing.

You are one lousy risk manager.
