Well according to Maduro, the plotters plotted in the US of A.  Last I heard this morning he arrested 6 of the most loud demonstrators.  So we're getting the blame....again.

We were in Caracas in '76.   There was a bit of Anti American graffiti I saw back then.  They had armed military walking around in downtown Caracas.  We had the son of a friend in our group.  He had long hair and shorts on.  We walked out of a shop and several soldiers had him at gunpoint and were yelling at him.  A friendly shopkeeper began yelling at the soldiers while we hustled the kid into his store.  It seems that long hair on men and wearing shorts in the city proper was frowned on.

We had lunch at the military base and there were two huge monuments on the parade grounds.  They were covered with names of those who died in their civil war of independence.  There were a lot of American names on those monuments.  It seems to never fail that those we help with our blood and treasure manage to screw us in some way after awhile.

Trying to install “democracy” in third world countries is a fools errend.

It doesn’t even work in first world countries.
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

It's "Democratic Socialism".  They voted for it, if they don't want it anymore, they can un-vote for it.

What do you mean "that's not the way it works" ??

  • I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

I am no longer providing links, context or references for things that should be widely known at APS. :D  Take that stewardess off your lap and read the news.

LOL!!!!
Politicians and bureaucrats are considered productive if they swarm the populace like a plague of locust, devouring all substance in their path and leaving a swath of destruction like a firestorm. The technical term is "bipartisanship".
