http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2015/07/23/recruiting-center-shot-fired.html

Summary: one of the people "guarding" a recruiting center has an ND. Or, an attention whore gets a little more attention than he wanted.

Quote
"I was out here and was talking to a guy who wanted to look at my AR-15," said Reed in an interview with the Eagle-Gazette. "I was trying to clear the weapon and hand it over to him when it went off. I thought it was empty and must have missed it."

Quote
Reed pleaded guilty and was convicted of the same offense in 2013, and was fined $50, court records show.

Quote
“I’m nobody special,” Reed said. “I’m just a guy doing my job because my own government wouldn’t do it.”

Reed said he is not a military veteran. He described himself as an active gun enthusiast who makes a living working side jobs.

He downplayed the accidental shot fired.

“It is what it is,” he said. “Nobody got hurt.”

Well, this sure won't go over well in lib-land.

Why would anyone who is doing this volunteer work allow  this...or manipulate the weapon himself.....to "show it off" to someone else?

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

A "good" PR type would grab hold of this and beat it to death as a vehicle for why the .mil should be arming the troops who are out there on their own in public.

And do it before Moms/Everytown/Bloomberg starts sinking their teeth into this.

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

Hey you kids!! Get off my lawn!!!

This is like the super sized version of showing off your carry weapon.

Well, clearly I wouldn't understand. Being female I am unable to grow the facial hair necessary to follow such logic.
