I'm just getting into the RSS Feed thing. It's made even easier now that it's integrated into Firefox.

Now I'm looking for some good content. What are some of your favorite RSS feeds?

WTF is a RSS Feed?
Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love
truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile.

From a Google search:

Quote
RSS is a method of distributing links to content in your web site that you'd like others to use. In other words, it's a mechanism to "syndicate" your content.

Sorry, guess I assumed everyone knew about them. We all know what happens when you assume.

They are as Tarpley said. I am using them as a subscription. It works sort of like when you post to a thread and then you get alerts of new posts. I can insert the RSS Feed (which is usually coded in XML) into my homepage and instead of the default headlines from CNN or AP, I can get Fox News, Washington Times, WSJ etc.

There are RSS feeds for practically everything. News, Sports, Entertainment, Blogs, etc. You can insert them into your web page and basically build your own personalized online newspaper.

Hey this thread still has some life in it after all.

Chuck, that's what I'm doing. Building my own personalized morning paper.

I've got the following so far:

News:
Courier Journal (Lou, KY)
Indianapolis Star (IN)
Fox News Channel

Sports:
Indy Racing League
I like Racing.com (covering everything open wheel from local short tracks to IRL)

Still working on others.

Probably the most entertaining in my list is Schneier on Security.  That may say something about me. Shocked
Admit nothing, deny everything, make counter-accusations - APS homepage 3/4/05 - 5/20/05

Never ask a man where he is from. If he is from Texas he will tell you. If he isn't there's no need to embarass him.
