I voted for a Democrat for US congress
« on: November 04, 2014, 06:56:23 PM »
For the first time in many years I cast a vote for a Democrat for congress.
After carefully studying the issues and a bit of a last minute development I concluded that the candidate was in fact the lesser of two weavils.

How much damage could he do?

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

But is he still the best candidate, even if dead?  =D  And who are we to discriminate against the living-impaired?

I will never vote for a democrat.  Period.  I'll abstain first if the opposition candidate is that bad.

Never say never. If you were unfortunate enough to live on Milwaukee County, yoi would vote for Sheriff David Clarke, giggling the whole way. He's one of the most conservative high profile politicians. In the state, and he gets elected over and over again- running as a democrat. The suburban conservatives. Know he's conservative and he has the inner city FSA democrats mostly snowed.  The white liberals know his game but can't do anything about it because race.
Bloomberg recently wasted nearly. A million dollars tryong to get him defeated in the primary.

Yes, Clarke isn't even close to being a DINO, he's probably the single biggest thorn in the side of the whole party right now.

I suppose I should have some philosophical bones to pick with him being a Libertarian, but I make no secret I'm a "bad Libertarian" and don't consider it a suicide pact. Like law enforcement in a large urban area. That, and he doesn't sign NFA forms, which is irksome considering his tough talk on self-defense and CCW, being the NRA keynote speaker last year.

Other than that, he's perfect, and well worth it as the single biggest thorn and threat to the Democratic Milwaukee establishment.
I promise not to duck.

I regret not voting for Glenn Poshard (D) over George Ryan (R) for Illinois governor some years back.

For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

I voted for a Democrat today that was running as an Independent for one of the county supervisors. why? Because she is an independent thinker and doesn't carry much water with her own party.

I also voted for a Libertarian and for a Socialist Party member because they were a better choice than the incumbent puke.

I voted for Poshard.  During that election cycle I think I might have seen one Ryan yard sign in this area.

For those not from around here, George <spit!> Ryan is one of our jailbird ex-governors.

Only one on the ballot I wouldn't vote for was Graham.

I wrote in Boomhauer instead.

Ryan v Poshard marked my split from R party (I had been a committeeman).

Just so you can see, we have our own dead Democrat winning election.  He had the poor timing to die last week.

Considering that since a Democrat won the election they have to choose a Democrat to fill the vacancy.  I can see how that happened.

I will admit I voted for a Democrat yesterday, actually a couple of them.  First one was for Governor, didn't want 4 more years of our current one and then for State Superintendent of Schools.  Felt that the Democrat was a better choice.

Makes sense since dead democrats can still vote  ;)
