Don't Democrat pedos get a pass, or has that changed?
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

I don't know if it really happened to him, or he got caught doing something, or whatever.

I dislike the guy very much. That said, if someone actually was trying to set him up with something like child porn, they should immediately be put against a wall and shot. That's the kind of thing that would absolutely ruin an innocent person's life forever.

Much win in the comment thread.

And, as I posted on the book of faces somewhere:

"Well, I’m on the phone with my computer security service, and as I understand it someone compromised my IP address and is using it to download child pornography," Krugman wrote in a now-deleted tweet. "I might just be a random target. But this could be an attempt to Qanon me. It’s an ugly world out there."

The way it was phrased I thought was odd.  If it was a NYT computer, it would be NYT IT guys he would be talking to, not "my computer security service".  It made me think he fell for a popup scam on his own computer.

I should clarify that  I believe he's a moron or fell for a scam... or worse. However my original comment still holds - if somebody tries to frame somebody else for child porn, no matter how much I may despise the framee, the framer should still be shot.

Nah. Send him to prison.

With a child predator tag.

And put him in general population.

I recall hearing an interview once with someone who was under investigation (during Clinton admin I think).  They said they had an independent computer security person check out their computer.  Apparently in addition to trackers/loggers, someone had placed a file in a system subfolder that was not a place you would normally use to store random stuff.  I think it was either classified info or pornography that could get them in hot water if they got raided and feds seized their computer.

I apologize if this is a stupid question, but would it be possible for a government organization to put compromising material on your computer remotely?  I recall an episode of 'Sherlock' in which Mark Gatiss threatened some people with uploading material to their computers that would put them away for 20 years.

I imagine it would be pretty easy since most people don't have serious security, but I am not much of an expert.
