Hobby or obsession?

Those of us who think we are obsessed with guns as a hobby should realize we are mere amateurs...

That is just awesome.
There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Oh wait, never mind, the French don't fight on land, in the air, or on the sea.

Not one single landing craft in the lot!  How does he expect to exploit the land?

Or does he just hate Marines?

stay safe.

Holy schmokies.  Way too cool.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

haven't decided if this one is a Wasp or a Tarawa.  I think it is a Wasp but not 100%

Sure, put little red x's inside little red squares and say they are "stuff"!  And since when did landing craft get individual names?  (Well, besides "^(*@# bobbing cork!"?)

Tarawa. The stern is a dead give-away.

Tarawa class

Wasp class

Secondary obvious characteristics are the gun decks flanking either side of the flight deck at the bow, the tall island superstructure and stack configuration, the mast design, the vertical stern-gate doors, the label, etc.
