I got up around 2:00 AM, the house was being pelted.  It rained that hard last night, with the rain coming in horizontally from the oceanside in gusts.  I get up this morning and look at my barograph, the pressure dropped to 29.60 inches of mercury in just 4 hours!  So I check the local weather online, and we have Tropical Storm Tammy newly formed off the coast.  It's been an interesting year, I understand they're going to use Alpha, Beta, Gamma if they run through the Z name and storms still form.

Tammy went north, and it appears she'll turn left into Georgia.  Thank goodness! (Sorry about that, Georgia...)

But not before she dumped a lot of rain in the Cocoa Beach area.  I doubt our retention ponds are gonna be able to hold much more.
