USPS

The United States Postal Service continues on its race to the bottom.

My new gripe: Tracking.

I have a small item I bought last week. The vendor sent me a notice that the item had shipped last week, on May 16, and they provided a USPS tracking number. The "tracking" information included multiple entries prior to actual shipment, then a notice that the USPS had the item and that it was at a regional distribution facility and that delivery was expected before 9:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20th. It showed that information up until 10:00 p.m. last night (the 20th) but, of course, the package didn't arrive.

As of this morning, the "tracking" reports that the package will arrive late. No estimate of when, and no information regarding where it is or where it has been since it arrived at the regional distribution facility in the vendor's home city.

Useless.
