I use an office suite from Germany that's a good alternate to Microsoft Office. Support is primarily through a web forum, in which other users as well as company agents participate in offering help.

I just posted a solution to a problem a user was having. He reported that my suggestion worked -- and then unoaded on me for "condescension."

So, Mr. Condescension, *expletive deleted*ck you AND the horse you rode in on. Next step will be to see if that forum software offers an ignore function.

"Learn to use paragraph styles" probably came across a little harsh, in the vein of cursing at another driver in a car "Why don't you learn to drive?"

That may not have been your intention, but the written medium is subject to misinterpretation like that.

Agreed. The phrase "learn to" could be, and was, easily misinterpreted.
