If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Will it take a binary trigger? Asking for a friend.

Too much effort to make it look like a levergun with the tube under the barrel.  Looks very ugly.  Too much effort going for looks than just function.

Wouldn't it make more sense to use some sort of pump action linkage with the hand guard to cycle the bolt?

There were pump action ARs years ago.

I think that lever action “AR” is funny. Wouldn’t buy it, but funny.

I remember the "pump action" ARs.  Think they originated out of South Africa, to get around some gun control/semi auto laws.

Henry makes a magazine fed lever action.  It looks like a lever action.  Make one in 5.56 that runs AR mags, and I might be interested.

Come to think of it, at the NRA show in 2019, Troy Industries had a pump action AR for ban states.  At least I think it was pump.  I looked at it because it has a small folding stock and I thought it was semi-auto at first.

Everything I find is blocked right now, but it was similar in function to the link bedlamite posted, but with a skeletonized folding stock.

Remington had the pump action 7615. 5.56 rifle that took AR mags. They were neat rifles.

This is what I saw.  Doesn't look half bad, but I can't imagine a semi-auto ban that not include high capacity mags.  Maybe in 458 Bushmaster.
