...In NoVA, that is.  2263ish miles from Ewetah to my doorstep.
Left Saturday, noon, stayed the night in Denver after getting caught in ski traffic coming out of Keystone  ....that turned into 2 hours of stop-and-go in 5* temps and blowing snow.  Made it to Dayton, OH Sun night.....put down the remaining 8 hours yesterday.  I don't know how the truck drivers do it.

Oh yea, a buttload of 'em.

Gay Johnson's is a gas station in the Rockies. 
We were in the Sequoia doing about 30mph, in 4wd getting passed in the snow and ice....and then came across the rollover....along with a few slideoffs.  9,000' in the rockies in Jan isn't a great place to have an accident....morons.....
Oh, and in Kansas it was clear but windy, and there were cars in the ditch every few miles.  Highway patrol had already been along and marked them all....more morons....

Well, now you get NoVa Traffic.  This morning, we have a Car B Que on I66.  I'm in no hurry to leave.

Good to hear you're in one piece, I was wondering how you made out with the weather, and then those avalanches on I-40 had me a bit worried too.

Kum n Go is a Iowa based business, people outside the midwest still freak out/make jokes when they see one. They also sell logo apparel in the stores, very popular with the tourists.

Seriously though, I've never seen an area that has so many burning cars.  We have a car go up in flames on one of the major routes just about every month.  More than once, I've seen 2 or more reported in the same morning.  Once, there was more than one on the same stretch of highway.

And I couldn't even get my 72 Beetle to catch fire.

Go hang-out in Brownsville, TX for a few months.  In one month I saw more burned-up cars in Brownsville than I have in all my years since leaving there.  Amazing.
