Has Microsoft ever let on to why they nerfed right-click functionality in Win11?
I live by the might Right Click. Having to dig a couple layers deep for what used to be on the primary popup menu is aggravating, especially considering MS chose the most-used options to bury.
Oh, and they also made setting up printer accounting a multi-step PITA, too. What used to be a simple driver download/install now requires installing the printer and changing a couple of Printer Properties settings before it will work.
But, hey, it looks more like MacOS! I guess that means everyone should be happy, huh. ;/

I assume you're talking copy and paste. Yes, huge annoyance.

Copy and past is just the tip of the iceberg. Previously simple things like right-clicking a folder to create a new sub-folder or right-clicking to rename something? All hosed. It's like they intentinonally looked for the most used right-click actions and purposely made them an extra layer or two deep in the popup menus.

copy-paste is where I see it most.

Oh wow, I was not aware of this.
That REALLY sucks, easy access to menus via right click is critical.

Yep, every new version of the OS buries the settings another layer deeper. I suppose it's because most users just want it to work, they don't care about any of the background stuff like how it works, or what makes it work. Making the OS more streamlined makes the tech's jobs harder.

Where is Copy & Paste not available using the right mouse button? I am not seeing this issue and I have been on 11 since day 1.

it's an extra layer down. Right click menu, something like "extra options" gets you the actual useful options.

More and more, I come to the realization that I am blessed to not own a single computer that has the hardware necessary to run Windows 11.
Hint to Microsoft: If I wanted a Mac, I would have bought a Mac.

Mine IS certified to run 11.....and it won't.
I got this thing dialed exactly how I want it.

Fortunately there is a registry hack to return the missing right click features in Win 11.
