Ian at Forgotten Weapon looks at a 20 shot revolver with two barrels no less from 1910 or 1911, he's not sure. Wonder if it would run afoul of magazine restrictions in some states nowadays or would it have an exemption?

Was it perhaps chambered for the Velo Dog cartridge?

That's what I was originally thinking, but the Velo dog cartridges were .22 caliber, I believe.

I need a machining project. Got to thinking this week about a .45acp carbine, pretty simple right? Three six shot cylinders taking moon clips revolving around a central axis that is a 20ga shotgun. Break action to load all. Lever to advance the cylinder and cock. DAO trigger for the shotgun because why not. Pump action to advance to the next cylinder? Ugliest gun ever made with a bonus of winning internet arguments. Bad things happen when I ponder on all my loaded moon clips.

If you are rotating, might as well go for 5 or 6 cylinders.  Or have one bigger cylinder.
