Today's exciting episode involves trying to figure out how I can access my Western Digital MyCloud network storage device from a Samsung Galaxy (Android) tablet. The Samsung connects to my WiFi network for Internet access and for wireless printing. The MyCloud is on the same network and I can access it from every Windows device I have -- desktops, notebooks, and Windows tablets. But the Samsung tablet is sort of useless if I don't have ready access to the same files I have available on all other devices.
I have downloaded and installed the WD My Cloud app from the Google Play Store. All that did was create some sort of connection between the MyCloud device and Drop Box -- which I did not ask for and don't need or want. I want to be able to open a word processor or a spreadsheet app and be able to open and edit documents and files I have created on other computers.
HELLLLP!
