Cop orders woman standing next to the car to leave now "or he's gonna put lumps on her".
Cop tells CCW holder he should have executed him when he saw his bulge and his partner would have been a "nice witness".

This cop needs to be fired, and brought up on charges of terrorist threats. Anyone else armed and displaying that much aggression, threatening to assault a woman and threatening to execute a man in cold blood would be arrested without question. I don't see how any reasonable argument could be made NOT to fire this asshat immediately before he acts on one of his more violent impulses.

The scary thing is this cop says all this while he KNOWS he's on video. What the hell would have happened if he wasn't being recorded? At the least, I'm betting this guy would have got a "tune up". If he's so emboldened to threaten a woman with violence and to threaten to execute another man on tape what the hell will this guy do when he's NOT being recorded.

That's a very scary thought for me. And some people still think recording the police is "asking for trouble", situations like this is why private citizens recording the police should be 100% legal.


EDIT: The way i wrote is sounded like he did execute someone, he didn't; just threatened to.

At least by the looks of things it should work out in favor of the victim here and there are sanctions on Officer Friendly.

I thought the same thing about Officer Friendly, 'roid rage.

By the looks of things it does appear to be in the favor of the victim, but the court might not see it that way.

That was my assessment as well.  Possible abuse of steroids.  I wonder if he is/was drug tested at any point.

My other biggest WTF is why the other officer did not restrain the officer in question?  If I was a police officer and ANYONE was threatening to execute someone, I'd be hopping on that in short order.  For the protection of myself, my department and the city that will be paying for the massive law suit.

I'm stunned. Can you imagine how much worse it could have been if the driver hadn't been so mild mannered? If he'd had a mouth on him like I do, he probably would have been executed.

UNION REACTS

Bill Adams, president of the Canton Police Patrolmen’s Association, has watched the video of the June incident.

“Obviously whatever transpired on that video is an isolated incident,” Adams said. “It happened and it’s being handled properly right now and the chief is doing what he feels is necessary.”

Adams said calls involving guns can be emotional and dangerous situations, but he wasn’t condoning anything that might have happened on the recording.

“We’re a very well-trained and well-rounded police department that has solid officers that can make good, solid decisions every day,” he said. “You can’t (take) one incident like this and make it like every (officer) is out of control.”

So not even the union is trying to defend him. He's toast.

I've had officers threaten that I would lose my ccw because I didn't notify....

I don't think suspension or firing is enough. I think the permit holder should bring civil charges.

What are you basing that on, the wild accusations made by the same OOCC (Out Of Control Cop) that was threatening to shoot people?  Not what I'd call a reliable source.  And, since when did paying for it draw the death penalty?

I think that accusation was made by OOCC's partner (whose tactics, BTW, sucked almost as bad as OOCC)
