Secret Pyramid Chamber

This kind of stuff fascinates me. You have to wonder just how many other "secret chambers" exist in the pyramids and what might be in them. This one is apparently not tied to any underground passageways or anything - just walled in on all sides somewhere in the middle of the structure.

I wonder if any of them will ever be explored? It  appears they would have to do some major disassembly to get to these kinds of chambers. Maybe in another 100 years we'll have the tech to remotely view the chambers. :)

What's always stunned me is that the pyramids were already close to 3,000 years old when Jesus was born.

I remember reading a dispute that they may be significantly older than that, even. <Goes to find a link> Because Khufu is only mentioned in one place and isn't mentioned all over the pyramid (like most other burial chambers), they think he was added much later. Some think they were built as far back as 10,500 B.C., because of an alignment with Orion that would only have occurred at that time (and the Spinx, coincidentally, would align with Leo that same time.) It's a rather interesting theory.

I remember also seeing someone claim there were more chambers down lower in one of the pyramids.  They said one of the lower passageways ends at a wall, but the guy claimed that was a block that was dropped to block the passageway and there was more down there to find.  I don't think this is the same area though.
