IIRC cesium is refined by acidifying the the ore and recovering the cesium from the solution.  I wonder if they could do the same with the "sludge".

the cesium can be extracted.  The hard part is figuring out how to do it relatively cheaply.

LOL birdman; I love the "baby equivelents."  Sometime brimic or I will have to tell the story of using "triple times heavy thans" as a unit of density.

I'm not sure how it works into the calculations, but sludge should describe the activated carbon (Darco) containing suspension before being filter-pressed into "cake.*"

*turns out that unlike some science experiments, herein the cake is decidedly not a lie.
