I enjoyed the cool shot of the Oriskany (Essex-class carriers kick ass), but we all make choices!

There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Bacon is the candy bar of meats!

Only the dead have seen the end of war!

There is a barn on HWY 30 between Tama and Cedar Rapids, IA that has a big red wooden cut of Iowa that states "Stay Home Hillary" it has been up since 2004. I need to snap a picture of it the next time I travel that way.

"Intense."

There are some great, similar, shots of the USS Oriskany going down that -- in avatar size -- looked similar.  (I'd attach here if I knew how.)

My father's Vietnam carrier is preserved in NYC, and I've walked the decks of the USS Hornet and USS Lexington.  It is preferable that good ships meet good ends, but such doesn't always occur.

Damn.  Sad

Well, her "final mission" was to help train todays Navy people so we're kinda proud of that.

You can read about it, it's a good story.  grin
