Shot fired along Korean border, Kim still missing
« on: October 10, 2014, 01:40:47 PM »
http://online.wsj.com/articles/north-koreas-kim-misses-another-event-amid-gunfire-at-border-1412937083?tesla=y

The Nork's psychopathic midget dictator has been notably absent from public life for over a month. And now, shots are being exchanged along the border. I wonder if he's dead or too sick to run the country, and if so who is driving that bus?

I thought most of those "types" had doubles to take over in case of illness or... whatever.

Being the only fat kid in the whole country has its drawbacks.

Plus, as paranoid as they tend to be, he wouldn't want anybody able to pretend to be him unless there was also some very simple, very effective plan to prevent a hidden coup.

Word I heard was that his smoking hot little sister was running the show.

Ok, we need a fat, somewhat effeminate looking Asian kid that we can trust.  We sneak him in, take over and fix the place up a bit.  Beats the heck out of having to go find an island and start breeding minions from scratch.

Think Jamis could pass as Asian?

Just being a realist....because the idea otherwise has some merit.  The idea of being dictator for life warms my black heart....

You're way to soft. There is a hole right there that needs filling.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

As F'd up at North Korea is, the problem is what happens when it begins to auger in.   The Kim dynasty is the "only" legitimacy the regime really has with the people.  If there has been a coup, and there is no Kim member running things, that could and probably will start a full blown civil-war between the Kim supporters and Anti-Kims.  And nothing is more vicious then a Civil War.  In a country with the, IIRC 4th largest Army/military in the world.

And nukes.

Yeah.

Sadly, hopefully, he's still alive and just sick/hospitalized (rumours are with gout), heaven help us if the opening acts of a coup/civil war are being played out.   I got a feeling our lack of leadership in DC will only make whatever is going on over there worse.

I'd bet that worst case he "goes into seclusion" then "has a son" who can carry on the legacy. Given that they're a state run religion, even would be coup'ers are going to want a piece of that sweet sweet legitimacy.

Or even worse.  My Kim can beat up your Kim.  Say two (or more) different family members struggling for power.   Should that happen Katie-bar-the-door as refugees flood in ROK in unprecedented numbers.  While those few remaining fight it out over a depopulated land.  It'll make the 30 Years War look like a Sunday Picnic.

I've seen several photos of her, and I would not describe her as "smoking hot." In fact, not even a little bit hot.

"Not ugly" works for me.

Well... that would go a ways towards de-mining the DPRK's side of the DMZ at least.

I promise not to duck.

If Kim loses his grip, the blood will run fast and deep.    Even the nice native-born older Koreans I have known have been some hard, bloody-minded folk at their core.

Gout.

The "rich man's disease".  Hard to build up an excess of uric acid on a starvation diet.

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.
