, I have pretty well lost interest in the rest of what they have to say.
I do not owe anyone a debt based on the color of their skin.
The only thing I owe anyone is to treat them in a decent, respectful manner.
He didn't say you owed anyone anything, unless you consider yourself to be the personal embodiment of America. And in that case, we salute you, Uncle Sam.
When the term is used as it was who do you think the author was talking about? If not each and every one of us that is not a member of which ever group of oppressed minority?
Who is to pay the debt he speaks of if not you and me collectively?
As I said I owe nothing to anyone based on what was done to their ancesters before my ancesters even set foot on US soil. As for me, I've never oppressed, kept down, lynched, or discriminated against anyone based on race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, creed, national origion, veterans status, age or hair color. But, I do take offense when some self rightous arse trys to
tell me I owe somebody anything because of their skin color.
