Reading the article, it sounds like a translation problem - they don't have spy cameras up, they've stuck cameras on the maids like what we've suggested they do with cops.

I don't recall ever hearing "cat's pajamas" ever being said anywhere before.  I've heard "cat's meow" and maybe other cat stuff, but not pajamas.

I've heard "the cat's pajamas" pretty much my whole life. Of course I was watching The Three Stooges for as long as  I can remember, plus old movies, so I probably caught it there. I don't recall hearing many people, besides me, saying it IRL.

In regards to the OP, if you have to wire the maids the same way Americans wire their cops all to "proove" the media has blown the hotel situation out of preportion, you've probably gone really wrong somewhere along the way and you should just give up and turn the other cheek.
Maybe the Russians can hope for some spectactular last minute save and parade some hapless failed terroriest around which would distract the media presence from their issues with lodgings, but other then thatm they're pretty much down *expletive deleted*'s creek without a paddle.

And I love Pajama's. I wear PJ pants religiously. I will wear them to the store sometimes and I don't care if you think it's trashy. They are colorful and comfy and soft and they make me happy.
